During my recent transit stay in Hoeselt, I chose to stay at Hotel Monte Cristo. The convenience of the hotel's close proximity to the nearest airport, just 23 km away, was definitely a plus for me. As a frequent traveler, having a hotel that is easily accessible from the airport is always a key consideration.

One minor inconvenience I encountered during my stay at Hotel Monte Cristo was the issue with the check-in time. Although it was mentioned on the hotel's website, I was surprised to find out upon arrival that check-in was not possible before 15:00, unless it was specifically requested.

The Room: The air-conditioned rooms at this hotel offered a cozy desk and a coffee machine, making it the perfect spot to catch up on work or enjoy a cup of joe. The private bathroom with a shower was a delightful oasis after a long day.

Early Check-in: The check-in time is default after 15:00, so we had to wait for the staff to arrive when we arrived earlier than expected.

We had a great two-day visit at MC. We visited the area for an antique market and cycling. Eric, the friendly staff, helped us with everything and arranged bicycle storage. MC is a new hotel with attention to detail. It's also pet-friendly without extra charges. The hotel is also a spa and restaurant. The art and decor were eclectic yet pleasing, and the breakfast was exquisite with fresh juice, huge breads, and more. We would definitely stay again.

I absolutely loved my stay at this luxury hotel. The rooms were beautifully decorated and provided enhanced comfort. The hotel is located in a peaceful area, allowing me to enjoy a good night's sleep with the windows open on warm nights. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, offering a variety of fresh and delicious options such as fresh juice, breads, yogurt, salmon, and meats and cheeses. The hotel also had a well-appointed garden and therapeutic offerings, although I didn't have the chance to try them. it was a fantastic experience.

I highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends. They will surely appreciate the luxurious accommodations, excellent service, and convenient amenities.

Additionally, guests are encouraged to take some time to truly unwind at the onsite spa. With a range of treatments and relaxation options, I was able to indulge in some well-deserved self-care, ensuring I left feeling rejuvenated and ready for the next day.

While my overall experience at Hotel Monte Cristo was exceptional, there was one minor downside.

We had a great stay at our hotel during our city trip! In terms of location, it was perfect – close to the main attractions and public transport. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made us feel at home right away. We particularly liked the cleanliness of the rooms and the comfortable beds. The breakfast was also amazing with a lot of options to choose from.

That the room was quite stuffy, and there were no fans or air conditioning. We had to keep the windows open, which caused a lot of noise from the street.

While the breakfast was an optional extra, I personally felt that the 15 euros charge was not justified in terms of the quality and service provided. Furthermore, the ambiance of both the interior and exterior had a somewhat artificial feel, although this is subjective and a matter of personal taste.
